In 2022, I visited the lignite mining areas in the Rhineland and produced a
documentary about part of them.
On the one hand, I want to highlight these massive, absurd interventions in nature through the removal
of soil and the clearing of forests and, on the other hand, to address the resulting disappearance and forced resettlementof entire villages and settlements.
